I finished the blanket with a large scalloped edging.

Oh wow I love what you've done!! Such a great idea having different squares in the middle and at the ages, you've really got me thinking. I want to make a blanket for my Dad and his wife but didn't want to do another ripple or another boring granny square one - need to do something like this instead!
